Purple. The color that will always remind me of my mother. These purple beauties bloomed a week too late for her to see them. She passed away unexpectedly last week from a brain aneurysm. Life is so, so short.

Mom and I have never been fall people. No, we live for the spring... when the dead earth brings forth new life. When all that was defeated emerges out of the cold, hard ground in a colorful display of victory.

I’m already looking forward to the day we will meet again, telling stories while meandering among the flowers. Her heart was always looking to heaven and now mine is too.
